Welcome to the Directorate of Public Instructions (Secondary Education), Punjab. The Directorate is housed in Shop-cum-Office number 95-97, Sector 17-D, Chandigarh (Union Territory), India.
The origin of this Directorate can be traced back to the year 1854. Lord Dalhousie, the then Governor General of India, during British Rule, established education department in each state on the recommendations of Charles Wood, President, Board of Control.

Department of Director Public Instructions (S.E) Punjab, Chandigarh. (Requirement Cell) Vide Advertisement No.1 and II -431 posts of Headmasters cadre, 651 posts of Lectures in different subjects, 2614 posts of Master cadre and 849 Posts of PTI’s were advertised in october, 2006 by the Punjab Government Education Department through C-DAC. Results of these posts have been declared. Many candidates have sought information through Right to Information Act, 2005. Information of candidates who applied against the above posts is as below:- No candidates will be selected on the basis of this information if he had not attended the scrutiny for checking of original documents and his/her results had been declared successful.
